And Poem

AND Poem

And school again , filled with mooning children
And a room full of bags chatting away sharing about what inside them today
And goals for 2016 and 25 of them
And a room full of desks most of them are blue
And icy water droplets on every blade of grass
And a class full of hungry children
And 6 photos of people in the class
And a basic facts ladder fulled of photos
And a blackboard full of this week's wisdom
And a life of stars to see one day
And a bright colored fence going to the pool
And a colored chain all around the classroom
And art all over the back wall
And my friends looking at me
And laptops everywhere you look
And red love hearts on the top of the wall
And trees just outside the door
And writing everywhere you look
And ugly red floor every class you see
And a big green fire exit door
And a little calendar by the door
And a world map just under the word inquiry
And talking children everywhere you look
And next to math there is Devlin's diner
And just by reading a phone to ring
And eyes looking at miss Devlin
And a wolf looking right at me on the wall
And 50 shoes in room 5
And colour's all over my literacy book
And miss Devlin staining at the front of the class
And the above are below the line close to the door
And a blue jelly bean table by reading
And Hunta hear is a dark purple
And school again , filled with mooning children
And a room full of bags chatting away sharing about what inside them today
And goals for 2016 and 25 of them

  1. Hi Britney,
I like your poem about children and how they are coming back to school.
It is really cool how you described the different noises that were happening around.
I think that you should work on your punctuation,so like putting commas in and full stops.
    Over all it is good!

  2. Hi there, my name is Hilary and I am a student in Room 9 at Waikowhai Primary School. I really like your poem. It made me think of me last year when I was a year 4 and I tried to make poems. Have you thought about making your words rhyme because I like poems that rhyme. If you would like to see my learning, my blog is wpshilaryg. blogspot.co.nz.
