In writing this week the year 8 have been writing there speech about there year at Paparoarange School and what they have done and because I am a year 8 I have to do one and once we had done writing them we get to read them out in frount of the whole school

Today we had Constable Jos come in and tall as all about what are safe drugs and what are not he is going to be coming in every week to teach as more about what ones are safe he gave as a challenge it was he had a drug writen on a bite of paper then we had to put then in to which one were illegal, legal, and unsure and this is what we ended up with.

This week on Monday we went to Brunner mine to lean about the history and who found Brunner mine and how long it was going on for we also got to get dressed up in the shanty town's clothes and take photos of as acting out what people would do back then, here is some of the photos that we got.

In room 5 we have been writing narrative and in our narrative we have been doing show not tell so to get it right we had to get a simple  sentence and then writ it in to show not tell so this is what me and sami got.

In room 5 we have been doing Little garden and we are doing it was another school I have been doing cauliflower my cauliflower is 3cm hight and still growing inside it has been for about 5 weeks now we put them in before the holidays and we have also up some outside this is my cauliflower.

Today's challenge is to take a photo of something that makes me naturally happy because I have lot's of thing that make me really happy so I made a collage of just some thing that make me really happy so this is what I made with some photo that I took. In our writing we are writing Narratives and bring our self's back to the 1960s so we have been making our character that we want to be in the 1960s and I am going to be girl named  Eva Boyle and why Eva Boyle came over to New Zealand we even had to put how tall they are. We are also leaning about Henry Whitcombe and George Dobson and how they died why they did and why are they in the Greymouth Cemetery we also got to see and video of Henry Whitcombe and where he went thought the pass.

Today's challenge is to take a photo of something old so I ask my Mum and step Dad if they had something old and my Mum had a really old drill from her Grandad Dad's one and it is about 60-70 years old my Mum has had it handed down to her and so this is what I got. On Monday  Quenton Pogia and Eroni Clarke came and talk to as about their life and how they got to where they are now and about connecting with nature and that life is not just all about you phone so they gave as a challenge and it is named a photo a day, so what you have to do it take a daily picture using the following prompts.  = My happy place  = Leaves  = Selfie  = Spring  = Unexpected Colour  = Dusk = A little sparkle   = Reflection  = Something old  = Out of your Window  = On the horizon  = Morning  = A good place for a nap  = Water  = What makes me naturally happy  I am going to do my best to do one ever day so today I have done my happy place and it is in my art book because i love to do art and it takes me to all kinds of places.

How to throw a Netball Focus : Create a procedure for teaching a throwing skill. Firstly, we followed the writing process so we stared planning so for that we had to think of what we would like do writ about I did a netball so after I stared writing my one so I had finished writing we had to go and practice the skill before we made the video when we could do the skill then we had to made a video of it we had to do it step by step we had to make lots of video until we got it right it took me about five times until I got how to throw a Netball or what we were writing about. Then we had to get two people from the class to come and help as video and to show to throw the ball to so you are not just throwing to ball to nothing and so you can show how to catch the ball to as wall as throwing the ball and at the end of my video I show how to shot a netball hoop and this is my video that I make with the help of Sami and Eilish.
